Description
English: 'Sikh railway train', woodcut, Lahore or Amritsar, ca.1870. Railways reached the Punjab in the early 1860's. In this image Sikh men are incorporated as the stationmaster, guard, booking clerk and signalman. An "English lady" is depicted in the top-left of the image.
