According to Article 9 and Article 22 of the Icelandic Copyright Act No. 73/1972[1] the following are exempted from copyright under Icelandic law or unrestricted distribution is guaranteed under the law:
Acts, Regulations, administrative provisions, court rulings and similar official documents and official translations of such documents.
Proceedings of public meetings of official representatives and documents publicly submitted there which concern their activities. The same applies to legal proceedings which are open to the public. Does not apply to collections of a single author's works.
Debates on questions concerning the public good which take place at gatherings to which the public has access or are broadcast. Does not apply to collections of a single author's works.
