Topics (flat list) has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |

Roads in <country> by name
[edit]Hi, Sbb1413. I just wanted to let you know that I undid the changes you made to the following categories:
The main reason for my changes was to go back to using the {{CatCat}} template instead of {{MetaCat}}, because these are not metacats. I also removed some categories that I don't think we have a structure for. If you have questions about any of this, feel free to ask. -- Auntof6 (talk) 00:02, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for cleaning up the categories. Sbb1413 (he) (talk • contribs) 04:04, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
Template - Topic by country/data/P
[edit]Greetings. Can you please explain the addition of parent2 of mammals and later changed to primates, for the 'people' topic of this template? Most of the categories that are formed with "People of xxx" have no category "Primates of xxx" (redlink).

- It was intended to categorize people as an animal species. Since directly categorizing people under animals can be problematic to some, I have used the "primates" as the parent as not all countries have the "primates" category. Sbb1413 (he) (talk • contribs) 11:08, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- I have altered the template to categorize people under mammals if primate categories don't exist. Sbb1413 (he) (talk • contribs) 15:19, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
CfD
[edit]At [1] I undid one of your closures with an explanation. I noticed at [2], you closed it agin, without my point being addressed and you provided a conclusion that doesn't address it either. Was there any urgency why you closed it? Would you reopen it?
If you feel like closing discussions, you could close the ~25 additional subpages on the topic now merged at [3].
Also, I noticed you open a large number of discussions, but tend to not engage in them beyond opening them. I think it would be more productive if you follow up on your own discussions instead of opening even more. Enhancing999 (talk) 07:37, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
Transcontinentals
[edit]My apologies, I think I overstepped one of your edits, that was not intentional! I'm fine if you want to pause that one for a bit pending the Wales resolution. Hopefully we are close on that and the Denmark one. I would like to get those wrapped sooner than later and am worried about confusing the issues. In any case, I wont add any comments for a bit, so you won't have to worry about me stepping on your toes again like that. Apologies again! Josh (talk) 18:46, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
Problematic category moves
[edit]Hi. I think that it is time that you took a refresh of the community policies around moves. special:diff/893863386 is not one that should have been made without community consultation, and it was very poorly carried out. I also dispute that after 4 years that there was the consensus to undertake Commons:Categories for discussion/2020/01/Category:Kites especially without consideration for all the other aspects of that nomenclature, that are now unresolved. It is the same mess that you undertook for Georgia. I ask that you stop closing those discussions, you are not solving issues. — billinghurst sDrewth 10:51, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I will not close any CFD from now, even uncontroversial ones. Sbb1413 (he) (talk • contribs) 11:01, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
